Fuji Media Holdings is the parent of Fuji Television Network, the terrestrial broadcaster behind the Fuji TV channel, along with a business that runs production, content licensing, real estate and events. Its advantage is a long-running position as one of Japan's five major free-to-air networks, with the scale and programming library that come with it. The near-term story is a revenue rebound, with reported growth of 28.2% against a much weaker margin base: operating margin is 10.8% and gross margin 23.8%, which leaves room for operating leverage if that top-line momentum holds. The stock trades at 43.2x trailing earnings but 25.5x forward, so the market is pricing a sharp earnings recovery, and return on equity of 2.4% shows how far the balance sheet still has to earn its way back. That gap between trailing and forward multiples is the question worth pressing before anything else.
