Portfolio slots

Defaults to 15, the number of picks open right now, so the portfolio shown is the one actually being run. Adjustable from 10 to 16; the record is stable across that range, and every figure and the methodology below update with your choice.

How this is calculated

  • Capital is divided into 16 equal slots. Each pick takes one slot at its entry, and returns the capital to the pool when it closes. Uninvested capital earns nothing.
  • Entry is the actual fill date and price set on the Monday open, not the date the pick was published. Dating from publication would book a move subscribers could not have captured.
  • Partial exits are honoured. 31 of 46 picks were scaled out of, and each tranche is realized at its own exit price and date.
  • The 0 picks still awaiting their Monday fill are excluded. They never represented a live position.
  • 5 picks trade outside USD. Their returns are converted at the daily ECB fixing, so a USD investor currency exposure is included rather than ignored.
  • Corporate actions are valued as a credit against the original cost basis, from the distribution date onward.
  • The benchmark is bought at the close before the first entry, so it earns a full first-day move while the picks only earn from their fill price. That biases the comparison slightly toward the benchmark.
  • Not modelled: commissions, spreads, slippage, taxes, or dividends on either side.

This is 46 picks over 8 months, with at most 16 held at once. That is a short record and a small sample. It is not a reliable guide to future results, and it is not investment advice. See the full disclaimer
