What changed

$FLEX just saw its ACCE composite score drop 10 points, moving from 66 to 56 out of 100. That's a meaningful single-step decline, and the current score breakdown tells a clear story about where the pressure is coming from.

The three subscore pillars right now: Growth sits at 80, Value at 38, and Quality at 49. Growth is the standout — $FLEX posted year-over-year revenue growth of 16.9% and earnings growth of 17.1%, which explains why that subscore holds up. The problem is the other two.

Value at 38 is the weakest link. The trailing P/E sits at 66.6 and the forward P/E at 33.7. More telling: the ACCE 6-model fair value estimate comes in at $88.97, which implies the current price of $151.54 is trading at a 41.3% premium to that blended fair value. That kind of gap puts serious downward pressure on any valuation-weighted composite score. A score move of this size almost always has a valuation component behind it, and the data here makes that case plainly.

Quality at 49 is middling. ROE of 17.3% is respectable, but net margin of 3.1% and FCF yield of 1.9% are thin for a company trading at this multiple. Earnings quality is flagged as strong, which is a positive, but the margin profile limits how high the Quality subscore can climb.

What it means

A 10-point score drop doesn't signal a business in trouble — $FLEX's growth numbers are genuinely solid, and a 1-year return of +226.9% reflects a stock that has had a remarkable run. But that run is exactly the issue. When a stock appreciates that sharply, valuation metrics stretch, fair-value gaps widen, and composite scores that weight value and quality alongside growth will pull back.

The analyst consensus target of $160.40 sits only modestly above the current price of $151.54 — a gap of roughly 5.8%. That's a narrow margin relative to the 41.3% downside implied by the 6-model fair value. Those two signals are pointing in very different directions, which is itself a reason for caution.

The score at 56 puts $FLEX in neutral territory. The Growth subscore at 80 keeps it from falling further, but until the valuation gap narrows — either through price correction or earnings expansion that justifies the multiple — the Value subscore at 38 will continue to act as a drag on the composite.
