Overview
ACCE thesis
Sonda is a Chilean IT services firm that runs outsourced data centres, managed cloud, application maintenance and systems integration for banks, retailers and public-sector clients across Chile, Brazil, Peru and Mexico. Its edge is local scale and long-term contracts with incumbent customers, which keep revenue recurring even when new project wins are lumpy. Reported revenue grew 9.4%, but thin margins (14.0% gross, 4.0% operating) and a 3.8% ROE show how little of that growth reaches shareholders, and the stock trades at 11.1 times earnings against a forward multiple of 6.0, which implies the market expects earnings to roughly double. That gap between a cheap multiple and weak returns is the question worth testing: whether margin recovery in the cloud and managed-services mix is real or a hope already priced into the forward number. The composite score of 50/100 and absence from any index suggest the name sits under the radar, so a deeper look is warranted mainly to check margin trajectory against the forward estimates.
