Overview
ACCE thesis
Sanmina is an electronics manufacturing services provider, building printed circuit board assemblies, backplanes, and complex systems and subsystems for OEMs in communications, cloud infrastructure, medical devices, and industrial equipment. Its moat is scale and qualification depth: once a contract manufacturer is qualified into a customer's product, switching costs are high, and Sanmina's position in the data-center and networking supply chain gives it exposure to the current AI and cloud buildout. Revenue growth of 69.7% is the headline, and the forward P/E of 14.8 against a trailing 36.8 says the market is looking through a sharp earnings recovery and toward a normalised base. The gross margin of 9.0% and operating margin of 7.0% are thin, typical of this model, so the thesis rests on whether volume growth converts into operating leverage. It merits a deeper look to test how durable the growth is and whether margins can hold above current levels.
