Overview
ACCE thesis
Braemar owns and operates upscale full-service hotels and resorts, mostly in the United States, and its portfolio is the kind that depends on group and convention business as much as leisure travel. The structural case rests on that asset base, but the numbers in front of us point the other way: revenue fell 4.5% over the period, return on equity is slightly negative at -1.3%, and at a 7.7% operating margin the gap between revenue and profit is thin. A 20.6x forward multiple on a shrinking top line and a market cap of roughly $105M leaves little room for error, and the stock carries a 30/100 score with no index membership to anchor institutional demand. The near-term catalyst would have to be a visible turn in revenue, which the current figures do not yet show, so this looks like a name to watch rather than one that justifies a deeper look today.
