Correction, 18 September 2026: an earlier version of this post described April 30 as the end of the quarter. It is the date the results were reported.

What changed

$WCC (WESCO International) reported results on April 30, 2026. EPS came in at $3.37, up from $2.21 in the same period a year earlier — a 52.5% year-over-year increase. Revenue grew 13.8% over the same stretch.

The earnings growth outpaced the top-line expansion by a wide margin, which points to meaningful operating leverage. Net margin sits at 2.8% on a trailing basis, so WESCO runs a lean operation by nature, and squeezing more profit out of each revenue dollar at this scale is a notable result.

The stock carries a trailing P/E of 22.0 and a forward P/E of 21.5 at the current price of $321.20. The ACCE score stands at 66/100, with Momentum the standout component at 84 and Growth close behind at 76. Value scores 57 and Quality comes in at 48, the weakest of the four.

The 1-year return is +48.6%, which reflects how much of the good news the market has already priced in.

What it means

The headline numbers are strong. A 52.5% EPS increase on 13.8% revenue growth tells you the business did more than just grow the top line — it converted that growth into profit at a faster rate. For an industrial distributor operating on thin margins, that kind of earnings leverage matters.

That said, the valuation picture deserves attention. WESCO's 6-model fair value estimate sits at $217.99, which is 32.1% below the current price of $321.20. The analyst consensus target of $386.09 sits above the current price, so there is a real divergence between what the model-based framework implies and where sell-side analysts see the stock heading. Neither view is automatically correct, but the gap is wide enough to flag.

The Quality score of 48 is worth watching. ROE of 13.4% is solid, but FCF yield of 0.2% is thin, and that can matter if the business needs to fund growth or service debt. Earnings quality is flagged as strong, which is a positive offset.

We do not have guidance commentary from this report, so it is not possible to say how management expects the rest of the year to develop. The Momentum score of 84 reflects the stock's recent run, but whether the operating performance can sustain that trajectory is an open question.
