What changed

SNDR just posted one of the more notable score moves on the ACCE platform, climbing 17 points from 50 to 67 out of 100. That kind of jump in a single update typically signals a meaningful shift in at least one of the four underlying subscores — Growth, Value, Quality, and Momentum — and in Schneider National's case, the data makes it pretty clear where the energy is coming from.

Momentum is the standout at 97/100, the highest of the four subscores by a wide margin. SNDR has returned +48.1% over the past year, and the stock is trading at $36.10 against an analyst consensus target of $37.00. That kind of price action tends to pull the composite score upward on its own, but it's not the only thing working here.

Growth is also strong at 76/100. Year-over-year revenue is up +10.4% and year-over-year earnings are up +40.0%. The most recent quarter (Q3 FY2026) came in ahead of estimates, albeit by a slim +0.3%. Trucking and logistics companies don't always post earnings growth at that pace, so the combination of double-digit revenue expansion and much faster earnings growth suggests some operating leverage is kicking in.

What it means

A score of 67 puts SNDR in solidly positive territory, but the breakdown tells a more nuanced story than the headline number.

Value scores at 51/100 — roughly neutral. The trailing P/E sits at 62.3 and the forward P/E at 39.7. Those are elevated multiples for an industrial trucking company, and they reflect how much of the recent earnings recovery the market has already priced in. The 6-model fair value estimate from ACCE comes in at $24.88, which is -31.1% below the current price of $36.10. That gap is a meaningful caution flag. It doesn't mean the stock falls to that level, but it does mean the current price assumes a lot of continued execution.

Quality scores at 43/100, the weakest of the four. ROE is +3.7%, net margin is +1.9%, and FCF yield is +2.9%. These are not bad numbers in absolute terms — earnings quality is flagged as strong — but they reflect the thin-margin reality of the trucking sector. There isn't a lot of cushion if freight volumes soften or fuel costs move against the company.

The 17-point score move is real and reflects genuine improvement in growth and momentum. The score upgrade is worth paying attention to. The valuation gap between the current price and the 6-model fair value estimate is also worth paying attention to. Both things can be true at once.
