What changed

$LYFT just recorded one of the larger single-move score increases we track. The ACCE composite score for Lyft Inc. Class A Common Stock moved from 64 to 77, a delta of +13 points. The updated breakdown sits at Growth 76, Value 83, and Quality 71 — all out of 100.

The Value subscore of 83 is the standout. At a current price of $14.33 and a trailing P/E of 2.1, the market is pricing the stock at a steep discount relative to earnings already on the books. The forward P/E of 10.8 reflects a more normalised expectation, but the gap between the two tells a story: trailing earnings have surged in a way the market has not yet fully repriced. The analyst consensus target of $18.79 implies meaningful upside from current levels — roughly 31% — which feeds directly into value-oriented scoring models.

The earnings picture backs that up. Year-over-year revenue grew 13.8%, while year-over-year earnings grew 488.9%. That kind of earnings expansion, even off a low base, is the type of signal that pushes both the Growth subscore (76) and the Quality subscore (71) higher simultaneously. Net margin sits at 43.8%, ROE at 147.8%, and FCF yield at 20.6% — figures that score well on capital efficiency and cash generation. Earnings quality is flagged as strong.

What it means

A 13-point score move typically reflects a convergence of improving signals across multiple subscore dimensions rather than a single data point shifting. In $LYFT's case, the most plausible drivers are the dramatic earnings expansion lifting the Growth score, the low trailing valuation multiples anchoring the Value score near the top of the range, and the high FCF yield and net margin reinforcing Quality.

That said, the 1-year price return of -1.4% is a reminder that strong fundamentals and a rising score do not guarantee near-term price momentum. The Momentum dimension is not separately broken out in the current score, but the flat-to-negative price trend over the past year is a factor worth watching. A stock can score well on value and quality while still waiting for a catalyst to close the gap between intrinsic and market price.

The market cap of $5.42B against a net margin above 40% and a FCF yield above 20% is an unusual combination. It suggests either that the market doubts the durability of recent earnings, or that $LYFT simply has not attracted the attention its current fundamentals might warrant.
